Sports and recreation are integral for residents of Shah Alam to stay physical and mentally healthy. Three conceptual philosophical propositions are put forth under the topic of “Sports & Recreation.” They are “Music Language,” “Revival in Motion,” and “Active” which respectively serve the following brands: Decathlon, Santa Cruz, and Swee Lee. Music language is based on social interaction and interactive environment while revival in motion is based on user experience and social interaction. The final proposition on being active involves augmented reality public spaces and interactive virtual environment. In Nur Adabiah Dolah’s representation of Swee Lee, she proposes walkability opportunities and combining pedestrian activities for better community bonding. In Muhammad Azim Roslan’s representation of Santa Cruz, he also proposes improving skateboarding environment surrounding the project site into the building to create user experience and encouraging related social interactions. In Nur Syamim ‘Aqilah Mustafa Kamal’s representation of Decathlon, she proposes activating physical sports activities in public spaces in augmented reality. From the conceptual philosophies related to sports and recreation, the trend is to improve virtual and physical social interactivities through healthy outdoor activities opportune along pedestrian walkways and pocket parks.

Augmented reality (AR) is an improved version of the actual physical world that is accomplished by the use of technology-supplied digital visual objects, sound, or other sensory stimuli. Whilst, Interactive Virtual Environment is from vehicle simulation and teleoperation technologies, virtual environment displays emerged. Implementation of Augmented Reality Public Spaces in proposed building by introduce applications of (AR) that could enable community to resolve the isolation of Covid-19 lockdowns from activities to open access to cultural events and experiences at the public spaces. Moreover, users can try and play with the sports gear efficiency to the fullest by the invented innovation technology that will be provided in the retail shop, the communities are welcome to participate the events and programmes hold at the public spaces. Besides, virtual environment also can provide good lighting during night events that will attract community to the site due to the at recreational park. To encourage the community to move through innovation technology. The objectives of the concept idea of Active are to achieve goals and opportunity in leading and helping community to revive and strengthen the sports and recreational activities, while, it can promote a healthy lifestyle. In order to rescue and revive the impression and experience of public, besides, it can improve the life qualities and well-being for local community.

Revival In Motion | Santa Cruz

Revival in motion is a combination of user experience and social interaction with Santa Cruz, a skateboard brand, is chosen to tackle issue in the heart of Bandar Kajang. User experience is defined to give the best experience for the customer to visits and spending time to play the skateboard and others extreme sports while shopping Santa Cruz product. Social interaction which is an exchange between two or more individuals. It means that my building design will promote the community-based centre as skateboard sports can create social interaction between the community in Bandar Kajang.

The improvement bus services and bus stop at site will attract more people visit this place by public transport. In addition, (Mariana & Yulis,2020) highlighted on redesigned pedestrian-way in Block M area as a pathway of sustainable urban mobility. Promoting walkability will help to reduce congestion in city centre with extended pedestrians walk from the bus stop towards site. (Reynell & Thinyane,2012) highlighted on hardware and software for skateboard trick visualisation on a mobile. An intelligent skateboard training can help beginners or new people to learn playing skateboards using the training devices. Next, introducing indoor skatepark to overcome issue of hot weather that leads to less of social interaction among people who come to enjoy the skateboard sports at skate plaza.

Music Language | Swee Lee

Music language, (Swee Lee) which means the important of melody and as a attraction to the music that would gather back the community of Kajang. A social interaction is the way people talk and act with each other. The vantage and industry style of Swee Lee show their journey that began from 1946, seeing that music could shape both soul and society. Meanwhile interactive environment refers to everything that surrounds and influences the people around, also can be as built environment, which refers to buildings and all kinds of other man-made structures. Indeed, Kajang societies can typically perform music to determine musical activities to promote social bonding through music, not just for musicians, but also for listener.

Omar et al. (2016) stated that the design should be appropriate, safe, maximize and capable of reaching every inch of the spaces, just by walking. My study recommends to provide the cultural festival square (outdoor amphitheater) to become a connector which welcome the public to visit from surrounding. This atmosphere is reinforced by scenic elements: by steps, huge stage and connecting pedestrian from outside into the building. The garden also forms part of the life of the building, offering the flexibility to host performances of various sizes and perfect place for relaxing and seating.

This design proposes to inject active engagement, where part of the building is available to be used by users. Creating a music sanctuary within the building as users becomes part of the ‘building’ to continue the function of the building. The second proposal is to increase the brand awareness of the brand. This is an opportunity to propose something that can boost the brand popularity.

Active engagement is amplified through injecting a technology to the building as the authors suggest that mobile technology offers educational possibilities that can enhance students’ growth in higher education (Kim et al., 2020). By using technology as a learning medium, it is likely for users to learn faster in their instrument, which will benefit both the retailer and students.

Brand awareness introduced for the product as stated by Zhang (2020) the influences of brand awareness on consumers’ cognitive process which plays an important role in purchase decision or product usage experiences. One way to boost the popularity of the brand is to have a discounts on the brand’s product and make it visible as possible. Through this idea, the brand awareness can be boosted and increase the brand popularity among the musician.
